Penny Sports Announcement Regarding the 2015-2016 Season
After fourteen years of providing a free public service to the Arlington community, Penny Sports is sad to announce it will not be broadcasting any AISD sporting events this school year.
In March of 2015, AISD exercised its right to cancel the agreement with Penny Entertainment, dba Penny Sports.
After months of negotiations for a new agreement, the district felt it was best to table the discussion until January 2016 to make a decision for the 2016-2017 school year.
Penny Sports has never made a profit. The mission statement was for students by students. Over the years several students have learned the art of video production through the Penny Sports program. Alumni of the program include local and national media members, as well as others who have used the communication skills they learned in other vocations.
